Main PC Setup (Server Install)

You should follow these instructions if you will only be using one PC or if this PC is your first PC you are installing ROBOTILL on (it will then be your server computer where the database is).

If ROBOTILL is already working on another PC and you want to connect this PC to the same database, follow the Addional PC Setup Instructions instead.

If you haven't already - follow these instructions to install ROBOTILL on the PC first.

After you installed ROBOTILL, double clock on the ROBOTILL Manager icon on your desktop. The ROBOTILL database setup wizard will start. When it opens up select 'Begin Setup >>'.

Select 'Main Computer Install' and click 'Next'.

Select 'Let the Wizard Download and Install SQL Server'.

If you have a 64 Bit computer you can select the 64 Bit option. The default option (32 Bit) will work for both 32 Bit and 64 Bit computers. To check what you have, right click on 'This PC' on your desktop and click on Properties.

The wizard will download and install SQL Server (this might take a couple of minutes). If the download fails or if the computer you install on has no internet connection, see 'Install without Internet'.

Once the download completed the wizard will start installing SQL Server. The SQL Server install can take a several minutes. Wait for the install to finish. It will either complete or give an error message if there is a problem.

After the wizard completed the install it will open ROBOTILL Manager again.
